    1. Radiology = X-rays
    2. Roentgenogram = 2 dimensional shadow image
    3. Computed tomography (CT) Scanning = uses X-rays with computer technology
    4. Dynamic Spatial Reconstruction (DSR) = constructs a moving 3-dim. life-size image
    5. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) = concentrates on the nuclei of atoms
    6. Ultra sound (US) = uses high frequency sound waves
 
  1. Homeostasis – is a condition in which the body’s internal environment remains within certain physiological limits
    1. In order for cells to survive, the composition of surrounding fluids must be precisely maintained at all times
    2. Extracellular fluid – outside cells (found in 2 places) interstitial or intercellular  called plasma
    3. Intracellular – fluid within cells
